Orthotics

What are orthotics?

Custom-orthotics are corrective devices that are designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position with every step you take. While shoe inserts are available over-the-counter, they only offer cushioning and not support. If you have flat feet or other issues, you will benefit from custom orthotics, which are designed to fit your feet exactly.

What are the benefits of wearing custom-made orthotics

  • Decrease Pain in feet, ankles, knees, hips and lower back.

  • Increase Comfort - feel supported in any type of footwear.

  • Improve Balance - they provide additional stability, reducing the risk of ankle sprains and improving balance, making them valuable for athletes and active individuals.

  • Enhanced Shock Absorption - orthotic insoles can absorb shock more effectively and reduce the impact on your joints.

  • Improve your alignment - orthotics are tailored to your unique foot shape, correcting irregularities and promoting proper foot alignment.

  • Prevention of Injuries - by enhancing many of the factors above, custom-orthotics will improve function and biomechanics of the lower limb and help prevent future aches and pains.

How do I know if I need custom-made orthotics?

  • Do your feet, ankles, legs, lower back feel sore? Achy? Tired?

  • Are you getting callouses or blisters?

  • Do you feel unbalanced and uncentered?

  • Do you have ankle, knee, hip, back, neck pain or injuries?

If you answered YES to any of the questions above, it's likely that you could benefit from custom-made orthotics. Orthotics can play a vital role in preventing issues, improving your condition, relieving symptoms, and slowing down the progression of the common problems listed above.
